A Quick Update — and a Book
What's happening behind the scenes, and what to do in the meantime
A short note today. Three things to share.
One. Paid subscriptions to The Guardian Academy have been paused. If you were a paid member, you will not be charged again. You don’t need to do anything on your end. Everything you had access to, you still have access to.
Two. A direct mail package is going out to every paid member in the next couple of days. If you paid, watch your mailbox. There’s a letter from me, a card with details on what’s next, and information on how to get your hands on something I’m only making twenty of — ever. The mail is the only place that information will appear. I won’t be repeating any of it publicly.
Three. The Guardian Academy work — three years of it, four contributors, hundreds of posts — has been distilled into a single book. It’s called Come Home: The Life That’s Already Yours. It’s the underlying argument all the writing was actually pointing at, in one place, in the cleanest form I could put it. It’s available on Amazon now. I priced it as low as Amazon would let me — about seven dollars — because I’d rather have it in as many hands as possible than make money on it.
If you've been reading along and you want one thing to do this week, that's it. Read the book. It's short. It says the thing.
Now — the part underneath all of this.
The work isn’t ending. It’s evolving.
The Guardian Academy as a publication has done what publications can do. What’s coming next is a different shape — a thing called The Foundry, which is built around the same four lenses that emerged out of TGA but structured as direct teaching rather than weekly broadcast. More on it soon. The full announcement is coming.
For paid members specifically: every benefit you had as a paid member will continue to be available to you. The shape of how you get to it may change — some of what we built outgrew what Substack can hold, so we’re moving the deliverables somewhere they can actually do their job. That transition is in motion. You’ll hear from me directly with the details. Just keep an eye out.
For everyone else: you’ll hear about The Foundry when it’s properly ready. Until then, the book is the best place to start. It’s the most complete version of what TGA has been about, and it stands on its own whether or not you ever follow me into anything else.
That’s it for now. The next post here will be the proper announcement, and that’s a couple of weeks out.
Be patient. Read the book if you want to. Watch your mailbox if you were a paid member.
More coming.
Live to learn. Give to earn.
