A Good Time With Good People

This past Friday late afternoon / evening several of our members in the community got together on zoom to just ...
Hang.
Chill.
Shoot the S.
Pontificate.
Tell stories.
And, get a tiny tour of the New York State Capital. (Walking is good)
I REALLY want to share what that experience was like with you, hanging out with those wonderful folks who joined us, the wisdom and perspective that was shared on the call, the connection ...
But,
I don't think it's possible.
I'm sitting here trying to think of ways to give you insight, maybe a glimpse, some kind of understanding.
But it was just a 'had to be there' kind of situation.
Which really, is what makes a good hang ... well, a good hang.
We had a great time talking about how we all got into The Guardian Academy.
The atmosphere was one of relaxed open welcoming, and because of this, a few folks really showed up in vulnerability about their personal experiences in life and how TGA has been helping them get through a lot of those challenges.
And then,
When we were towards the end of our time during the day,
I noticed something.
Joseph - " ... is that ... the REAL ... Dan John?"
We were about 40 minutes into hanging out when I saw the name pop up - sans video. I was pleased to see our good friend come on and have a chat,
Especially since several of the folks hanging out hadn't yet had the pleasure of meeting him.
He shared a bit of what's going on in his life right now as well as how he found himself in The Guardian Academy (and at the top of our Leaderboard1).

(Said he just whipped the weights out of the trunk of his car)
He shared many gifts with us on Friday, including one only available to those who were on the call - not gonna tell ya what it was ;)
BUT
I'll pass on one piece of wisdom from Dan.
This was in response to questions around living a healthy life (especially as you get older)
In his words:
"Sleep. Drink water. Move. Eat meat and veggies ... yea that's basically my last few books."
It's a joy to spend time with people who dedicate themselves and their lives to giving.
