I hear you, Joseph, but based on my experience, I'm not so sure. Life, at least as we know it, is a finite game (it does, after all, end), and yet I find games within it that create and develop seemingly infinite potential and possibility.

to me it helps identify the umbrella under which I'm playing finite games, and making sure those finite games contribute positively to the infinite
