This post is the The Corner Update for April 2024. TGA+ and Arena members can ask their questions in the comments. Learn about the corner here.
Future Champion. Welcome to The Corner Update #1. Since this is the very first Corner Update, I supposed we should tell you how it works:
At least once a month, Dr. Jeff Spencer will fire up a video and answer the questions in the comments below. We will do our best to compile your questions for Jeff that are left in the wrong spot - like the wrong post, Twitter or Facebook - but we can only guarantee that the questions posted on this post will be answered this month. Other things to keep in mind:
If the question has already been answered, we will link you to the answer as a reply to your post. That doesn’t mean it won’t be answered for you, we’re just trying to be helpful.
Context helps. Better questions lead to better answers. If you don’t know how to ask what you want to ask, that’s okay. Use this community and support structure to help you ask better questions!
Even if you don’t have a question, sharing how you’ve implemented something you’ve learned is helpful to everyone here and Dr. Jeff would love to hear about it.
Arena members and Guardians will have opportunities to spend time with Dr. Jeff in the Arena and at events. We still recommend asking your questions and using the structure below to engage the field with a higher frequency.
Suggested Topics:
These are the Dr Jeff principles discussed and used most often in the Guardian Academy publication. Asking your questions specifically about these topics, enhances everyones experience, so they will be prioritized.
Goal Achievement Roadmap
Life Lens Progression
Receptivity and Restraint
Shortly after Dr. Jeff answers the questions [near the end of each month], the video and audio will be posted for you. Drop your questions or experience in the comments below.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Dr. Jeff what is something that your mentor(s) and your cornerman conveyed to you that still sticks with you today?
I just went through the training. My recurrent question through the training was and eventually left unanswered is: where is the LEARNING in the grand schema of things? Both [potential] mentors and "technicians" could deliver knowledge, including practical knowledge via the book/video format. So, in that perfect day, when is the time to consume it? I thought about that 6pm creative / brain gain window, but, from what I know, that would undermine the sleep quality.
Even if it's 1.5-2 hours starting 6pm, how do I know there will be no burn out eventually? Learning new stuff takes a lot of creativity / brain power.
